Worldspace Heatmaps

Traditional heatmaps track the position of the eye on a screen, but what if this can be projected on the 3D space of a game world? As part of my Master’s thesis, I worked on a project that investigated this with a Proof of Concept Worldspace Heatmap system.

  • Proof-of-Concept Worldspace Heatmap system in Unity

  • Prototype for a real-time fixation filter

  • Stimulated Recall interviews using Worldspace Heatmaps

  • Using Worldspace Heatmaps to gain level design and player behavior insights
